Quinlan Partners is a global due diligence, investigations, and business intelligence firm that helps clients identify and mitigate risk, shape strategy, and achieve success. We are seeking an inquisitive, motivated investigator to join our team at the Associate level in our New York office. The Associate hire will join a team of seasoned corporate investigators, investigative journalists, and attorneys, and build upon a foundation of solid research skills at a rapidly growing firm that has garnered the stability and loyalty of strong client relationships.

The Associate role requires a dogged work ethic, excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail and intellectual curiosity, and the ability to collaborate with a team while simultaneously executing deadline-driven projects.

What You Will Do:

  • Conduct in-depth public record and open source background investigations of people and companies.
  • Collect information, intelligence, and evidence to prevent or expose frauds.
  • Expertly navigate public record repositories and databases covering court filings, recorded documents, financial disclosures, corporate records, and news reports, among other sources of information in the U.S and around the world.
  • Draft and edit client-facing reports.
  • Brief senior management and clients.
  • Oversee field investigators as they obtain documents, conduct interviews, and execute tasks on-the-ground around the world.
  • Execute deadline-driven research projects within corresponding budgets.
  • What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, political science, international relations/affairs, or related fields.
  • 1-2 years experience in corporate investigations, investigative or business journalism, or research-focused fields.
  • Strong public record and open source research skills.
  • Demonstrated creative problem-solving abilities and a track record of success in gathering, analyzing, and distilling information in response to complex questions posed by corporate, investment, and legal decision-makers.
  • Fluency in a second language is strongly preferred but not required.
