The Associate Manager, Email & Retention Marketing will contribute to the development, execution, and evaluation of email and SMS marketing campaigns to drive brand engagement and profitable sales, build our customer file, and support growth and brand initiatives. This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams including eCommerce, Buying, Creative, and external partners. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Seamlessly execute process workflow, asset delivery, approval, QA, etc. of email and SMS programs: email (50%), SMS (45%), direct mail (5%)
- Maintain key cross functional relationships with counterparts on other digital and marketing teams - working most closely with ecommerce, buying and creative design and ops
- Ensuring timely completion of creative & technical briefs
- Assist with our email calendar, reporting, testing strategy, and operational details.
- Analyze and communicate results including key performance metrics on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis. Apply learnings to future campaigns to improve results
- Liaise with agency partners and oversee campaigns from start to end, including ideation, briefing team members, implementation, deployment, A/B testing, optimization, monitoring, reporting and analysis
- Work alongside the digital design and copy teams to ensure creative is customer-centric, meets brand standards and achieves the business goal.
- Analyze competitive marketplace and stay abreast of email industry trends
- Manage and enhance our trigger email & SMS programs by refreshing creative, subject lines, and testing as well as adding additional programs to support company goals.
- Continuously monitor channel performance and ensure that campaigns meet or exceed KPIs, including quality traffic by channel.
- Use web & internal analytic tools to identify marketing, customer and product insights and opportunities.
- Bachelor's Degree with a concentration in Marketing or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in email & SMS marketing, retail industry experience a plus
- Prior experience working with an email service provider and managing a high volume/multi-faceted email program and reporting on results is required
- Understanding of email & SMS fundamentals: CAN-SPAM requirements, segmentation, performance metrics, etc.
- Passionate about digital and direct response marketing; deep understanding of online consumer behavior
- Able to see trends and to extract actionable insights from data to drive results
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with excellent people and time-management skills
- Microsoft Excel and Outlook skills a must
