Collaboration and flexibility are at the core of our commitment to each other and to the success of OLAPLEX.About the Role:The Social Media Associate Manager is responsible for overseeing visual storytelling and voice across various channels, leading the team, and setting strategic objectives. They play a crucial role in implementing product launches, brand initiatives, social media campaigns, and ensuring alignment with overall brand strategy by closely collaborating with other departments. Additionally, this role is accountable for driving departmental efficiencies, managing budgets, nurturing partner and platform relationships, overseeing data analysis to optimize performance, conducting competitive analysis, and staying updated on industry trends. Furthermore, they are tasked with developing data-driven recommendations for strategy improvements and overseeing social guidelines used for all briefing needs for retailer, distributor/international needs.This role requires a comprehensive understanding of our wide range of platforms across our professional and consumer community to drive community growth in both new and established platforms. Reporting to the Director of Social Media, the incumbent will collaborate to echo brand messaging to our community members.Responsibilities:In partnership with the senior manager, develop and execute social media strategies that align with the brand's overall marketing and business objectivesCurate, brief and approve content for all brand-owned social media channels, including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Facebook and X, overseeing content calendars, planning and distribution strategy across channels with strong emphasis on finding efficiencies and proactive planning to advance the calendar and prepare for reactionary and off-the-cuff culturally relevant contentManage current social media platforms to stay current, make recommendations on optimizing brand channel performance and organic audienceConceptualize and manage content with internal teams, external partners, and agencies to plan and execute integrated campaigns driving brand awareness, engagement, and conversions, in partnership with Social Media Producer to help facilitate strategySupervise and mentor junior team members with a clear vision, providing guidance and feedback on social media strategy, content creation, and executionIn tandem with the Social Media team, collaborate with Global Marketing Team to come up with 360-degree product launch and social media marketing campaign plans and working with the E-commerce team to ensure support for site promosIn partnership with the senior manager, monitor and analyze social media metrics to track performance and identify areas for improvement. Set division goals and benchmarks and utilize proper tools, such as Dash Hudson, Sprout, BazaarVoice, and SpateManage day-to-day social requests supporting retail and professional brand partners: Sephora, Ulta, Behindthechair, BSG, and Mane Addicts, Behind The Chair, Hairbrained, BSG, CosmoProf, and KOL salons collaborating with the coordinator for sourcing assetsStay abreast of the latest social media trends, best practices, and technologies, implementing new strategies, platforms, and tactics as appropriateAbout You:3-5 years or equivalent of related experience in the social media fieldAbility to effectively utilize social media to maintain or build a brandExcellent verbal and written communication skills for interaction with writers, designers, developers, and customersProficiency in crafting engaging content aligned with customer trends and market changesStrong computer skills, including expertise in social media platforms and analytical toolsKeenness in learning social media trends, identifying new tools, and engaging in real-time online conversationsEffective time management skills for organizing tasks and meeting deadlines to achieve marketing and business goalsWe'd love to have you apply, even if you don't feel you meet every single requirement.
