About the Role

We are looking for an Associate to join our HVAC department at our Lower Manhattan office in New York City. This position involves managing a range of projects from concept to completion and collaborating with senior leadership on staff development, business growth, and firm marketing initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with department leadership to develop conceptual designs and oversee projects through completion.
  • Serve as the primary client contact for assigned projects.
  • Manage and review project-related documents, ensuring accuracy and timely execution.
  • Oversee the technical and functional aspects of project deliverables.
  • Confidently present and explain designs in internal and external meetings.
  • Regularly coordinate and update project teams to align with design goals and timelines.
  • Initiate and manage design changes, proposals, and approvals as needed.
  • Successfully lead multiple fit-out/renovation projects or large, complex projects from inception to completion.

Qualifications:

  • 8–14 years of engineering experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
  • Proficiency in design calculations and relevant software tools (e.g., Revit and AutoCAD).
  • Strong project management and leadership abilities.
  • In-depth understanding of trade-specific project scopes, applicable codes, and inter-trade coordination.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of documentation requirements across design phases (e.g., SD, DD, CD, and specifications).
