About the Role
We are looking for an Associate to join our HVAC department at our Lower Manhattan office in New York City. This position involves managing a range of projects from concept to completion and collaborating with senior leadership on staff development, business growth, and firm marketing initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with department leadership to develop conceptual designs and oversee projects through completion.
- Serve as the primary client contact for assigned projects.
- Manage and review project-related documents, ensuring accuracy and timely execution.
- Oversee the technical and functional aspects of project deliverables.
- Confidently present and explain designs in internal and external meetings.
- Regularly coordinate and update project teams to align with design goals and timelines.
- Initiate and manage design changes, proposals, and approvals as needed.
- Successfully lead multiple fit-out/renovation projects or large, complex projects from inception to completion.
Qualifications:
- 8–14 years of engineering experience.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
- Proficiency in design calculations and relevant software tools (e.g., Revit and AutoCAD).
- Strong project management and leadership abilities.
- In-depth understanding of trade-specific project scopes, applicable codes, and inter-trade coordination.
- Comprehensive knowledge of documentation requirements across design phases (e.g., SD, DD, CD, and specifications).
