Job Description

The Associate Mortgage Banker is primarily responsible for the origination of new mortgage loans; representing a full range of mortgage financing; generating mortgage loans through contact with individual customers, groups and third-party referrers while working under the guidance and mentorship of a Senior Mortgage Sales Manager. This role will participate in an intense 12-18-month program including the Xinnix Certified Originator program and BOK Financial Sales University. Both programs are designed to develop sales and service skills to prepare for a career as a mortgage banker. The Associate Mortgage Banker is responsible for obtaining knowledge as well as developing relationships over the program lifecycle in order to represent a full range of mortgage financing. Associate Mortgage Bankers are expected to transition to the Mortgage Banker role within 18 months of their start date. If additional time is needed, Regional Manager approval is required.

How You'll Spend Your Time

* You'll be immersed in our training program for 12-18 months, after which, you could become a Mortgage Banker.

* You'll be actively engaged in your community, making meaningful connections with both individuals and businesses.

* You'll generate business and close on time to ensure a seamless lending process.

* You'll collect and analyze clients' financial information to ensure loan eligibility and to determine if they are a good investment for the bank.

Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of an Associate's Degree and 2-3 years related retail sales and/or mortgage lending experience. If candidate is accepted for formalized origination training, a Bachelor's degree and acceptable outside sales experience may be substituted for mortgage lending experience.

* Strong interpersonal skills, including oral and written communication skills.

* Excellent PC skills including spreadsheet and word processing applications.

* Strong organizational, analytical, and teamwork skills

* Good knowledge and understanding of sales techniques and practices.

* Ability to perform complex mathematical calculations and to learn complex technical information.

* Ability to operate PC and 10 key by touch.

* NMLS required.
