Position Summary:

The Operations Consulting Group (“OCG”) is a team that provides temporary operational support, on a rotational basis, to various departments throughout Lone Pine's business teams. Such departments will comprise legal & compliance, fund accounting, management company accounting, tax, financial reporting, human resources, valuation, business development, and investor relations. The OCG team is led by the Manager of the Operations Consulting Group, who reports into the Managing Director, Human Resources & Facilities and the Manager, Human Resources & Facilities.

This role is partially remote on the following designated days:

  • Every Friday from the first business day in September following Labor Day through the week preceding Memorial Day
  • Every Thursday and Friday from the week of Memorial Day through and including the first Friday in September preceding Labor Day
  • The week that the Fourth of July holiday is celebrated
  • From the Monday before the Thanksgiving holiday is observed, through and including the Friday of that week
  • From December 26 through and including January 1

Responsibilities:

The Associate role will rotate through various operational departments, each for an assigned period of time ranging from several weeks to six months. When working within a specified department, the Associate will be responsible for providing support to its team, as directed by that department's managers. Examples of the Associate's work may comprise assistance with projects, work on new initiatives, and coverage for employees out on leave. The Associate will continue to move through various operational departments on a rotating basis throughout the year, based on need.

Required Background and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Recent college graduates with high academic track record will be strongly considered
  • This entry-level role is ideal for candidates with 0-3 years of work experience
  • Excellent Excel, Word, and related technological skills
  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible and collaborative in achieving directed goals
  • Ability to simultaneously juggle long and short-term tasks and projects with tight deadlines
  • Stellar written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated with an eagerness to learn
  • Ability to exercise discretion, particularly in dealing with confidential matters/materials
  • Must possess a team-focused attitude with a demonstrated interest and ability to work collaboratively with others, with the ability to also be extremely effective independently
  • Strong work ethic and high level of professionalism and integrity
