We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Scientist with a strong background in Computer Science to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Natural Language Processing, prompt engineering with Generative AI especially Large Language Models, and knowledge graphs. This role requires the ability to analyze complex data sets, develop algorithms, and create innovative solutions to enhance our data-driven decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Analysis and Interpretation:
    • Analyze and interpret large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
    • Develop machine learning algorithms and statistical models to extract meaningful insights.
  • Natural Language Processing:
    • Utilize NLP techniques to enhance text analysis and processing capabilities.
    • Implement algorithms for sentiment analysis, entity recognition, topic modeling, and other NLP tasks.
  • Prompt Engineering and Fine Tuning:
    • Design, implement, and optimize prompts for LLMs, especially in a conversational AI context.
    • Evaluate and refine prompts for performance and accuracy of a LLM.
    • Fine-tune a LLM if needed.
  • Knowledge Graph Development:
    • Build and maintain knowledge graphs to represent and connect information in a meaningful way.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the knowledge graph with new data sources and insights.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to provide data-driven insights and solutions.
    • Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Continuous Learning and Innovation:
    • Stay current with the latest research and technologies in data science, machine learning, and NLP.
    • Proactively seek opportunities to improve existing processes and methodologies.
  • Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or Java.
    • Proficiency in NLP libraries and frameworks (e.g., NLTK, SpaCy, Hugging Face Transformers, etc.).
    • Solid understanding of machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, etc.).
    • Extensively skilled in utilizing advanced LLMs (e.g., GPT-4, Gemini, LLaMA, etc.), with a focus on prompt engineering. Experience with fine-tuning LLMs is nice to have.
    • Familiarity with AI agents, graph databases, and knowledge graph technologies.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of three years of experience in data science or a related field in industry. Fewer years of experience are needed if the candidate has a PhD.
    • Proven track record of working with NLP, prompt engineering, and knowledge graphs.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical mindset.
    • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Salary and Benefits:

    Expected US salary range: $153,800.00 - $242,200.00. Available benefits include bonus eligibility, long term incentive if applicable, health care and other insurance benefits (for employee and family), retirement benefits, paid holidays, vacation, and sick days.
