Associate Product Developer - Solomon Page : Job Details

Our client is seeking an Associate Product Developer. This role is a key position supporting a private label business and an excellent way to grow in the product development space. This role will serve as the liaison making sure that all teams in Design, Sales, and Production work together and will follow up with Sales and customers. Must have analytical abilities, creative thinking, historical data keeping, and knowledge of market trends. The ideal candidate has graduated from a fashion-focused education program with classes and interest in this space. The salary range for this role is $70,000-75,000.

Responsibilities:

• Keep track of customer T&As, POs, Confirmations, Targets & Projections, Costing Sheets, Development Deadlines.
• Communicate with customers and serve as a main contact for follow-up (accounts to be decided on at a later date).
• Strategize with cross-functional partners in Design & Merch to align with customer calendars.
• Help manage cross-functional meetings – help prep related documents, manage calendar invites/invitees, etc.
• Access customer 3rd party systems to pull POs, Tech Packs, and any other documents that might be required.
• Be responsive and available when the customer needs a call to work through issues and help relay that information to cross-functional teams accordingly. Follow up until the issues are resolved.
• Prepare seasonal kickoff documents for each company our client works with. Documents will be work in progress references for design teams to help collections to be curated accordingly.
• Perform store visits to all customers' stores at least once a month with pictures for store reports.
• Stay up to date on retail happenings and report significant happenings within the marketplace.
• Assist in preparing reports for corporate initiatives such as sustainability efforts and quarterly earnings.
• Be available to travel as needed, primarily New York meeting based, but could have travel to Los Angeles, Columbus, Hong Kong, plus other domestic travel and international travel depending on the needs of the business.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree and related experience
• Passion for the retail/fashion world, reading and experiencing the now
• Be a self-starter and have ownership of required tasks
• An eye for product and trends
• An understanding of retail analytics and financial metrics
• Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently with customers and cross-functional partners
• A willingness to travel domestically and international if needed as well as be available for calls
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, Canva, Microsoft Teams, Excel, and Google Drive
