Xcel Energy is looking for an enthusiastic Associate Recruiter to help us fill bargaining/union (Skills Trades) positions across our service territories as well as assist with other entry-level roles. This hybrid role allows for 2 days of remote work and 3 days in the office with location options in Minneapolis, MN; Denver, CO or Amarillo, TX.

The Associate Recruiter plays a key role in consulting, sourcing and recruiting of entry- and some mid-level positions. This role demonstrates a talent hunter mentality in sourcing, engaging, and maintaining diverse pipelines by marketing Xcel Energy as an employer of choice while developing and implementing effective recruitment strategies. The Associate Recruiter will cultivate internal and external relations relationships and provide consultation and partnership to ensure best-in-class candidate and hiring leader experience while embedding brand and Diversity & Inclusion into every step of the recruiting process.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Sourcing: Develop diverse talent pipelines based on anticipated needs and guidance from business leaders.
  • Business Relationships: Develop business acumen and create relationships with business areas. Provide consultation that demonstrates knowledge of the business and understanding of the talent market.
  • Recruitment Strategy: Develop and implement recruiting strategies and plans. Utilize data and analytics to measure success and pivot as needed to improve productivity and cost effectiveness.
  • Recruitment: Accountable for full life cycle recruiting of entry- and mid-level postings. Effectively partner with stakeholders and utilize sourcing techniques. Clearly define and drive tactics and timeline for sourcing, service, assessment, selection. Partner with team and stakeholders to ensure a seamless flow of service to the customer internal and external.
  • Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with stakeholders to develop best practices and foster idea generation to drive continuous improvement efforts. Assist in coordinating Xcel Energy TA programs, and other duties as assigned.
  • Minimum Requirements
  • BS/BA degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (or a combination of education and experience).
  • 1+ years related experience with knowledge of business operations and TA tools.
  • Ability to travel occasionally and commute to events and company locations as needed.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Willingness to learn and grow with agility.
  • Preferred Requirements
  • Experience with recruitment programs and sourcing strategies (including local events, internship and diversity recruitment).
  • Experience working in corporate business environment.

    The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $53,300.00 to $75,166.66 per year.
