GentiBio is seeking a driven, collaborative Associate Scientist I/II Contractor to join our growing Technology team within the Research organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing in vitro culture systems to produce and characterize novel engineered T regulatory (EngTreg) cells. This role will support the technology development of GentiBio's cutting-edge EngTreg platform to treat autoimmune and inflammatory diseases.Responsibilities
    • Participate in the design of and independently execute experiments
    • Perform molecular, cellular, and immunological assays such as human T cell engineering with Cas9 and viruses, tissue culture, cell sorting, flow cytometry, and mixed lymphocyte reactions
    • Record results in an electronic notebook and support data analysis
    • Communicate and present findings across teams and to leadership
    • Foster the culture of seeking and giving help, inclusion, authenticity, and fun
Qualifications & Education
    • BS or MS with 2 or more years of hands-on industry or academic research experience in the life sciences
    • Mammalian tissue culture experience is a must; primary human T cell culture experience strongly preferred
    • Familiarity with flow cytometry required; ability to independently execute flow cytometry experiments strongly preferred
    • Familiarity with mixed lymphocyte reaction assays involving T cells, NK cells, or antigen-presenting cells strongly preferred
    • Familiarity with cell sorting techniques (e.g., MACS) preferred
    • Familiarity with gene editing and/or primary human T cell engineering preferred
    • Enjoys problem-solving in a team environment and tackling biotechnology challenges to advance therapeutics
