Position: Associate/Senior Project Manager level Structural Engineer in NYC As an Associate Structural Engineer, you will be at the forefront of overseeing diverse projects as a project manager, providing technical mentorship to local staff, and supporting business development efforts. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring consistent technical quality, successful project delivery, and exceptional client satisfaction. Dynamic Project Management: Take charge of a wide range of structural engineering analysis and design tasks for new and existing buildings made of structural steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and wood/timber. On-Site Investigations: Conduct site investigations to observe, document existing conditions, and identify structural deficiencies. Comprehensive Assessments: Perform condition assessments and load ratings for various structures. Project Planning and Coordination: Supervise and assist in the development of project plans, design calculations, and specifications, while leading coordination with other design disciplines to deliver top-tier engineering services. Construction Phase Solutions: Provide responses and solutions to issues during the construction administration phase of projects. Versatile Technical Skills: Apply a broad assortment of technical and project management skills to projects ranging from small renovations to large-scale new constructions. Mentorship and Development: Mentor, train, and develop junior engineering staff. Business Development Support: Assist in preparing technical proposals and actively participate in local industry and business development functions. Strategic Coordination: Manage staffing needs, project financial performance, and revenue projections as a project manager. Qualifications Educational Background: Bachelor of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering a Master's Degree is a plus. Experience: Minimum of 8 years in Structural Engineering practice. Licensure: NY PE required SE Licensure is a plus. Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Mentorship Abilities: Proven ability to mentor and guide technical staff. Leadership Skills: Ability to supervise, delegate tasks, and provide technical guidance. Code Knowledge: Understanding and application of NYC and NYS code requirements. Technical Proficiency: Experience with various structural analysis software. Multitasking and Teamwork: Ability to multitask, work on multi-disciplinary teams, and consistently meet deadlines. Software Skills: Experience with AutoCAD and Revit is a plus.
