(www.emcore.com) We are currently seeking a Shipping/Receiving Associate to support our Supply Chain Team in our Tinley Park, Illinois location. Performs the physical and administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment. Unpacks and checks goods received against pack slips and ERP system, maintains records of received goods and rejects unsatisfactory items. Support the flow of products from final production steps to the customer in an efficient, timely, and reliable manner while ensuring the Company's regulatory and compliance documentation needs. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Primary responsibility is to complete the paperwork and system entries to comply with contractual requirements of domestic and international shipments
- Ensure complete accuracy within ERP system and customer document requirements
- Prepare and submit compliant export documents for various types of licensed shipments and understand the use and application of exemptions for controlled export shipments
- Review incoming material - count and label, complete incoming ERP transactions and move material to inspection or stock as required
- Support subcontractor and supplier parts return shipments
- Support product packing to meet contractual requirements
- Communicate with various levels of the internal organization and customers to coordinate shipments and advise of delivery delays
- Assist with material transactions
- Support resolution of inventory discrepancies
- Support inventory control department as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School graduate or higher
- Must have shipping experience in international and/or military shipping role
- Experience with UPS, Fed-X and DHL preferred
- Ability to organize, with attention to detail and accuracy
- Working Knowledge:
- Must be able to work independently and as a high performance team member
- Advanced use of Microsoft Systems including: Outlook, Excel and Word
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift 25-30 pounds
