Posting DetailsPosition Information Position Title Asst or Assoc Prof of DPT Division Academic Affairs Department/Office Phys Therapy Doctoral ProgPosition Summary Information Advertisement St. Catherine University and the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program invite applications for a full-time Assistant Professor or Associate Professor position for a twelve (12) month contract with a preferred start date of Summer 2025. Rank offered will be commensurate with experience of the applicant. The position is eligible for tenure, based upon candidate qualifications.This position will be joining a well-established DPT program that began in 1991 and utilizes an innovative curriculum model. The program enrolls 34 students per cohort and has eleven (11) full-time core faculty. This position will educate graduate students in the DPT Program to become highly competent, ethical, culturally fluent, and evidence-based clinicians prepared to lead, influence and serve within the profession of physical therapy, the healthcare environment, and the broader global community.Responsibilities:
- Foster an inclusive and accessible learning environment in a primarily face-to-face delivery model with select online learning activities
- Develop and deliver teaching - learning activities in one or more of the following areas:
- Pediatrics
- Neurorehabilitation
- Additional teaching-learning expertise might include pharmacology, physiology, community engaged learning, practice management and/or other areas of expertise
- Serve as an academic advisor, counseling students in the DPT Program
- Define, implement and refine a scholarly agenda, including seeking internal / external funding
- Lead DPT student research projects
- Develop service in a wide array of areas, including service to the DPT Program, the Henrietta Schmoll School of Health Sciences, the University, as well as the physical therapy profession

- An earned doctoral degree in Physical Therapy or related field
- A minimum of two (2) years of clinical practice as a physical therapist
- Current physical therapy license or be eligible to obtain one in the state of MN
Preferred Qualifications
- An academic doctoral degree
- Experience in academic and/or clinical teaching
- Clinical specialist certification
- Research experience
