OPEN-RANK FACULTY RECRUITMENT (2x positions)Fire and Emergency Management Administration ProgramDivision of Engineering TechnologyCollege of Engineering, Architecture and TechnologyOklahoma State UniversityThe Division of Engineering Technology in the College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology (CEAT) at Oklahoma State University (OSU) is seeking applications for two tenure-track or tenured faculty positions at the Assistant Professor rank or higher within the Fire and Emergency Management Administration Program. The successful candidates will have the ability and desire to teach and research in areas related to fire administration, emergency management, or disaster science, and a willingness to supervise doctoral dissertation and master's thesis projects.The successful applicants will conduct research, teach undergraduate and graduate courses, mentor undergraduate and graduate students, engage in scholarly activities, and service to the university and professional organizations as appropriate to the appointed rank. A Ph.D. with teaching and research emphasis in emergency management, emergency services, fire administration, disaster science, humanitarian logistics, public administration, public health or a related field is expected at the time of the appointment. A qualitative or mixed methods focus and relevant practitioner experience while not mandatory are desirable.The Division of Engineering Technology provides a diverse and interdisciplinary environment for scholars who are interested in seeking collaboration opportunities between social science and engineering. The Fire and Emergency Management Administration Program consists of an undergraduate minor in Emergency Management and two graduate programs: Master of Science and PhD in Fire and Emergency Management Administration. The Division of Engineering Technology offers two other graduate degrees: Mechatronics and Robotics (MSET) and Fire Safety and Explosion Protection (MSET).
