DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
US Navy Strike Fighter Weapons Schools (SFWS) are responsible for squadron level training for F/A-18 and F-35 squadrons base at NAS Lemoore, CA and NAS Oceana, VA. The AT/AO SME is responsible for the revision and maintenance of Conventional Weapons Loading (CWL) and Conventional Release Systems Test (CRST) courseware used at NAS Lemoore and NAS Oceana weapons schools.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:Highschool diploma or equivalent.
Required Training and Experience:Must have a documented working knowledge of the Conventional Weapons Loading courses for their assigned weapons system.
Must be qualified within the AO rating on the F/A-18 or F-34 weapons system and served as an Aviation Electronics Technician/Ordinance Quality Assurance Safety Supervisor or at a Weapons Department as a senior technician.
Minimum two years' experience in the operation of the applicable weapons system with the last seven years or minimum two years' experience working on revision and maintenance of the applicable weapons system training program with the last five years.
General Skills:Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and oral communication skills; handle multiple tasks; flexible in work assignments; and work with little to no supervision.
Computer Skills:Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Security Clearance:Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD clearance.
