Job Description :

Position Title: Athletic Communication Assistant

Reports to: Director of Athletics and Director of Athletic Communication

Essential Duties:

* Assist in the promotion of the Saint Vincent College Department of Athletics, its 24 varsity athletic teams, and more than 600 student-athletes.

* Assist with maintaining all content on the Department of Athletics' official website.

* Author game recap stories for the official website and distribution to the media.

* Serve as in-game statistician at home athletic events.

* Capture and produce video content, including but not limited to, highlights, previews and interviews, for the department's official social media accounts.

* Oversee the production of livestreams of home athletic events.

* Assist with electronic and print graphic design projects.

* Nominate student-athletes, coaches and teams for conference, regional and national awards and recognition.

* Assist in the management of a 20-person student worker staff.

* Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics.

Required Skillset:

* AP-style writing

* Strong fluency with the Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere, and Illustrator.

* Strong fluency with the SIDEARM web content management system.

* Strong fluency with Genius NCAA LiveStats and PrestoStats statistical software for all sports.

* Extensive knowledge of rules and statistical practices of all NCAA sports offered by the College.

* Working knowledge of digital photography and videography.

Work Environment:

* Non-standard hours, with frequent evening and weekend work, both in the office and on location at athletic venues.

* Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

* Ability to multitask and handle regularly shifting priorities.
