What is a Hybrid Calendar? At Snyder ISD, we want to surround our students with the best. To recruit and retain top-tier staff, the Board of Trustees voted to adopt a HYBRID calendar for the 23-24 school year and will continue the calendar through at least the 24-25 school year. The calendar was designed with input from parents, students, staff, and the community to account for attendance, maximize school time, and improve school/work-life balance. View the calendar here: www.snyderisd.net/calendar. A gift! I know as a mom of three, I have thoroughly enjoyed having these extra Fridays off and not having to take days for simple things like dentist appointments, orthodontist appointments, eye doctors, etc. There was even one Friday morning we had off that I was getting to spend at home with my young child and I remember thinking that it felt like a GIFT. I felt like Snyder ISD GIFTED me with that time with my child that I wouldn't otherwise have...It's icing on the cake for me wanting to stay here throughout the rest of my career! Helped with burnout... I have really enjoyed the calendar with the additional days off. This has personally helped with burnout, especially during the harder/longer parts of the school year.
