LOCATION: The incumbent in this position will report to and work out of our main school campus location - West Chester (Eastern PA)

SUMMARY OF POSITION: Reporting to the Principal, the School Secretary - Guidance/Attendance is responsible for the processing of routine transactions pertaining to student registration, enrollments, withdrawals and attendance for the school year, ensuring the information is verified and entered into the Student Information System (SIS) accurately per PDE requirements. The incumbent in this position is subject to important time constraints and deadlines as required by the Department of Education and must work collaboratively with employees in other departments within the organization (which include but are not limited to Guidance, Special Education, School Nurse) The incumbent in this position must be able to fulfill routine travel requirements as may be needed; some of this travel may result in overnight stays. ESSENTIAL JOB SKILLS:
  • Proficient computer skills required, with knowledge of computer applications including but not limited to; Microsoft Office products, FileMaker Pro (or a Student Information System)
  • Multi-tasking and a high level of organizational skills required to meet important deadlines.
  • Ability to function independently and cooperatively as a team member is essential.
  • Ability to question and determine accuracy of submitted information.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills, and provision of excellent customer service.
  • Ability to manage conflict with diplomacy.
  • QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience 1.High school diploma, Associates degree is preferred. 2. 2-5 years prior office experience. Requirements 1.Satisfactory clearances as required by PDE (Act 34,151,114), valid within 1 year of date of hire. 2. Able to commute to your work location Skills and Abilities
