Attendance Teacher - Oneida-Herkimer-Madison BOCES : Job Details

Qualifications:

• Must possess New York State Certification as a School Attendance Teacher - Teachers with NYS Certification in other areas welcome to apply
• Master's Degree preferred, Bachelor's Degree required
• Experience as an Attendance Teacher and three years of teaching experience preferred

Duties:

• Thoroughly investigate cases of absence or tardiness as requested by the Administration
• Work with student, parents, school and agency personnel to resolve absences and provide needed support
• Assist schools in keeping an accurate census of their pupils
• Keep daily record of work done and prepare quarterly reports on attendance activities
