The ideal candidate will have experience in both construction and general liability law, with a strong focus on insurance defense and Labor law Sections 200, 240, and 241. This role will primarily involve providing legal counsel and representation to our construction clients in cases involving general liability and insurance disputes. The Construction/General Liability Attorney will also play a key role in advising our clients on risk management and mitigation strategies.Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and representation to clients in the construction industry, specifically in cases involving general liability and insurance defense.
- Conduct legal research and prepare legal briefs, motions, and other pleadings.
- Participate in all aspects of the litigation process, including discovery, depositions, and trials.
- Advise clients on risk management and mitigation strategies to prevent legal disputes.
- Counsel clients on construction contract negotiations and drafting.
- Stay up-to-date on relevant laws and regulations in the construction and general liability fields.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and legal support staff to provide the best legal representation for our clients.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in the state.
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in construction and general liability law.
- Strong understanding of insurance defense and risk management strategies.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage a high caseload and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in legal research and writing.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze complex legal issues.
- Team player with a collaborative mindset.
