Posting Details Posted: December 16, 2024 Full-Time On-site Locations Showing 1 location 130 E 59th St New York, NY 10022, USA Job Details Description The Lawyers Division of UJA-Federation seeks a confident, proactive, and relationship-oriented fundraising professional to fill the role of Development Associate or Executive. The activities of this division are fast-paced and high-energy; therefore, this role requires a team-player with the ability to multi-task, trouble-shoot, and be a forward-thinker. The Development Associate/Executive is responsible for the engagement, cultivation, and solicitation of donors and prospects through face-to-face solicitations, the organization of large- and small-scale fundraising events, volunteer projects, and providing support to lay leadership committees. They oversee a portfolio that includes the Trusts and Estates and Privacy and Cybersecurity as well as a number of firm campaigns and smaller subgroups. Major Responsibilities: Educate donors and prospects about the mission of UJA-Federation of New York in ways that inspire them to give. Accomplish this through one-on-one meetings, fundraising events, educational programs, mitzvah projects, agency visits, and missions. Develop and implement appropriate fundraising strategies to increase the dollars raised for the annual campaign. This includes thinking strategically about the legal and restructuring communities and working closely with the Wall Street Division to grow the donor base across trade groups. Oversee the Annual Trusts and Estates Event, which brings together a group of more than 500 planning professionals and raises over $500,000 annually. Oversee the Annual Data Privacy and Cybersecurity Event, which brings together a group of over 100 privacy professionals and raises over $100,000 annually. Develop programming for both the T&E and Cybersecurity Groups that creates a pipeline of committed donors and leaders in both practice areas and professional worlds. Provide professional support to the T&E Executive Committee and Cybersecurity Committee. This includes agenda setting, preparing reports and presentations, writing meeting notes, and providing necessary follow-up. Maintain records of donor engagement and evaluate progress regularly with supervisor. Develop and update research on individuals and companies in the Lawyers Division portfolio, as well as philanthropic trends in the legal community. Includes identification of viable prospects through outreach and relationship-building activities, and reading newspapers, trade publications, journals, and other related materials to remain generally informed. Competencies and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required. 2 or more years or more of post-college work experience. Excellent interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail. Strong critical thinking and analytic abilities. Experience coordinating events. Knowledge of issues facing the Jewish community and passion for UJA-Federation's mission. Ability to initiate and follow through on self-defined goals and objectives while remaining part of a collaborative team. Salary Information: The salary range for this role is $65,000 to $73,000; commensurate with experience and qualifications listed above.
