Pediatric Audiologist

Hours: 40hours per week
Location: Women and Children's Medical Plaza - Fort Myers FL 33908
Department: Rehab Svcs Women and Children's Med Plaza
Radius Rule: 50 miles from perm address. FLOATING REQUIRED- Travelers are first to float, possibly float to other sister campuses as well.
Culture is VERY important here. Travelers are welcomed into the units and are expected to function as core staff does. Hard document deadline is Monday prior to start. No exceptions for pending docs.
Responsibilities:
- Conducts and documents the evaluation and treatment of functional impairment in accordance with standards of the profession as delineated in the state practice act, regulatory, and accrediting agencies and Guide to Practice.
- Accurately and effectively communicates with patients, other team members, and appropriate authorized parties including, but not limited to, case managers, physicians, and payors.
- Work independently and demonstrate competency selecting and administering appropriate evidence base practice diagnostic procedures.
- Provide appropriate referrals and recommendations based on evaluation results and patient/family needs.
- Performs all duties in a competent and safe manner.
- Presents self professionally in both a physical and behavioral manner.
- Participate in interdisciplinary teams.
Qualifications: Education details
- Masters in Audiology required
- Doctorate in Audiology preferred but not required
