THE POSITION

In this Auditor 2 position with the Charities Investigation Unit of the Bureau of Enforcement and Investigation, you will join our dynamic team as we investigate allegations of violations of the Charitable Purposes Act. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position conducts investigations into allegations of violations of standards of conduct, laws, rules, and regulations under various jurisdictions covered under the Solicitation of Funds for Charitable Purposes Act. Work relies on reading, understanding, and appropriately applying the appropriate laws, rules, and regulations as well as utilizing standard accounting and auditing principles and methods. You will complete audit assignments by generating an audit plan, conducting interviews and research, and preparing clear, concise, and accurate written reports. Investigations are routinely of a complex, highly publicized, or sensitive nature and necessitate travel to multiple sites as well as keeping these locations, the identities of interviewees, and any evidence obtained confidential.
Efficient and effective communication skills are a vital aspect of this role as you will perform job duties with minimal supervision while keeping your supervisor aware of projected tasks and locations for a given time frame, and act as team leader during normal joint audit activities. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
* Full-time employment
* Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
* Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
* Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
* One year as an Auditor 1; or
* One year of auditing experience and four years of accounting and/or additional auditing work; and fifteen (15) college level credits in accounting; or
* Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training which includes fifteen (15) college level credits in accounting and one year of auditing experience.
Other Requirements:
* This particular position requires possession of a current driver's license which is not under suspension.
