Position Summary Incumbents of positions in this series analyze financial reports, documents, and records; audit financial records of public and private agencies and companies; prepare various reports; perform audit control functions; provide technical assistance to agency staff and public and private agencies and companies; develop information for preparing regulations, report forms, and procedures; testify at administrative hearings; and perform related work as required. The basic purpose of this work is to establish financial controls, stay in compliance with the IRP Plan and monitor financial and related documents. Duties and Responsibilities
- Research, develop, and implement processes to perform IRP Audit functions in accordance with the requirements of IRP Audit Manual and IRP Audit Committee
- Develop management reports.
- Analyze documentation received from Department of Revenue (DOR) relative to IRP compliance and use for basis of RMV audits to complete audits according to required timeline.
- Establish and maintain required reporting / reconciliation mechanisms.
- Maintain statistical records of findings and use to ensure effective administration.
- Coordinate and gather information necessary from RMV resources, other states, DOR, AAMVA, etc. to establish processes to complete IRP audits.
- Act as liaison to IRP community to explain and examine Massachusetts IRP Audits.
- Document process to develop manuals, guidelines, and user information and management reports.
- Use ATLAS to confirm pertinent information.
- Keep track of all information of audits to ensure 3% compliance.
- Open and close audit findings and produce necessary letters within ATLAS.
- Track and log all identified errors.
- Participate in other Registration and Title special projects as needed.
