Position Title: Department: COA Auditorium Operations Assistant Fine Arts/Auditorium

Supervisor: Elizabeth Jarvis RM# D-151 EXT 2358

Basic Function and Responsibilities:

To assist the Community Center Manager

Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities:

General:

* Assists in setting for auditorium events

* Maintains proper storage of auditorium equipment

* Works with custodial staff to keep stage and scene shop areas clean and neat

* Assists with the productions of the drama department by insuring others do not misuse or abuse auditorium equipment

* Other duties as assigned by the Community Center Manager

Unique:

* Knowledge or willingness to learn stagecraft and technical operations procedures

* Knowledge or willingness to learn and adhere to safety procedures for stagecraft

* Knowledge or willingness to learn the lighting and sound systems and to work as part of the technical crew for auditorium events

Minimum Qualifications Required:

General job experience and willingness to learn theatre production operations

Specialized Skills and Competencies Required:

* Ability to lift heavy objects

* Unafraid of heights

* Ability to climb ladders

* Mechanical aptitude

* Ability to maintain pleasant attitude in stressful situations
