Autobody Man / Combo Painter A busy medium/ heavy duty truck upfitter/dealer located in Bohemia, NY, is expanding its service team. We are currently looking to hire a Combo Painter/ Auto Bodyman who is willing to grow with our company.Responsibilities:Prepare vehicles for work in accordance with industrys standard.Body repairs on cars, vans, pick ups & trucks, including fiberglass, combo repairs, dent repair, quarter panel replacement and bondo work.Effectively communicate with management if any additional repairs are needed or if difficulties arise.Refinish all assigned vehicles to pre-repair condition according to the written work-order while effectively diagnosing and refinishing vehicles thoroughly and safely.Requirements:Minimum 2 (TWO) years of experienceBody work OR Autobody painting: 2 years (preferred)Maintain a high level of professionalism, motivation, focus, and organization.Current and valid drivers license (CDL preferred, but not mandatory).Must have great communication skills within a team environment.Can work in a face-paced shop without sacrificing quality of work.Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are a representation of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.The employee is required to stand, walk, grasp tools, hear, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, sit for an extended time period, lift/ move up to 25 lbs, and have good vision.Working conditions: Large facility, overhead cranesAt Fab-Tex, we offer outstanding benefits:TrainingOvertime availableSteady workBenefitsPaid holidaysVacation/ sick timeJob Type: Full Time or Part TimeSalary: Based on experience $23-38 plus up to 10 hr over time per weekSchedule:Full Time: Mon - Fri 7am- 5:30pmPart Time (Day or Night) - Times are flexible but requires a MINIMUM OF THREE DAYS PER WEEK.Work location: one locationAffirmative action statement: We are equal opportunity employers and do not discriminate against applicants or employees in hiring, job assignments, probation, discharge, or other conditions of employment on the basis of an individuals race, sex, ethnicity, age, disability, marital status, sexual orientation, religion, national origin, citizenship status or arrest record.
