Job Title: DrafterJob DescriptionWe are currently seeking a Drafter for our facility in Gallatin. This entry-level position offers a great opportunity to develop your skills in drafting and design, supporting a leading company in the industry.
Responsibilities- Prepare finished 2D drawings in AutoCAD by entering specifications and dimensions.
- Support the engineering department with developing Bills of Materials (BOMs) and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).
- Work with mechanical, structural, and sheet metal fabrication drawings.
- Design everything from concrete footings, structural steel, and custom machines.
- Select parts from the design library.
Essential Skills- Proficiency in AutoCAD with at least 1 year of recent experience.
- At least 1 year of drafting experience, either through school projects or job experience.
- Strong math skills and mechanical aptitude, particularly with fractions.
- Certificate in Drafting or an Associate's degree in Draft/Design.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Experience with Inventor and 3D design is a plus but not required.
Work EnvironmentThe work environment is primarily an office setting within a blended corporate and manufacturing site. The drafter will work alongside four other CAD drafters and report to the VP of Engineering. Occasional visits to the manufacturing floor may be required once up to speed. The company designs, manufactures, installs, and services pneumatic paper waste collection systems for various industries, providing a dynamic and engaging work environment.
