Job Title: Controls Engineer
Summary:Leverage mechanical, electrical, and programming expertise to enhance production operations through effective planning, installation, and troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities:Note: Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
- Program and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and Variable Frequency Drives.
- Conduct electrical installations, troubleshooting, and repairs.
- Provide mentorship to junior electricians and mechanics on the production floor.
- Engage in hands-on engineering activities within the production environment.
- Independently plan and execute projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery.
- Communicate project expectations and any deviations to team members and management.
- Document material requirements and usage effectively.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to reduce downtime and facilitate easier troubleshooting for electricians.
- Develop standard software and hardware architectures for automation projects, collaborating with multiple teams for seamless implementation.
- Evaluate and recommend appropriate technology solutions for automation, presenting a strategic technology roadmap for short- and long-term development.
- Interpret and apply blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately.
- Report any health and safety concerns or violations to management promptly.
- Utilize knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical processes to troubleshoot machinery safely and efficiently.
- Adhere to established policies and procedures, with a strong focus on safety regulations.
- Wear personal protective equipment in accordance with safety training guidelines.
- Comply with food quality and safety standards.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
