DescriptionWe are currently hiring for the position of Automation Engineer to join a large scale capital project in Philadelphia. You will play a crucial role in providing technical support to our Technical and Scientific Facilities. This includes cGMP manufacturing, technical development, and research & development (R&D) facilities, encompassing facility systems, infrastructure, and equipment. You will collaborate with various departments within our organization to implement and complete activities related to Facilities Systems and Infrastructure design, construction, start-up, and commissioning.Responsibilities:
- Provide technical expertise for facility systems, infrastructure, and equipment, from soliciting quotes to equipment modifications.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external contractors/consultants to ensure project deliverables meet end-user requirements.
- Work directly with contractors, consultants, and vendor representatives to implement, test, troubleshoot, and start up facility infrastructure and process equipment.
- Act as a liaison between the Automation Lead and technical operations, contractors, and consultants.
- Support the development of code requirements, specifications, and engineering criteria.
- Assist in troubleshooting utilities, equipment, and systems to ensure process robustness.
- Execute engineering document management practices for project and facility-related changes.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (chemical, mechanical, or industrial preferred).
- 5-8 years of experience in engineering design/support, preferably in the pharmaceutical-biotech industry.
- Project engineering or project management experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in the design, construction, and commissioning of manufacturing and support equipment for GMP processing of pharmaceutical materials.
- DeltaV Experience is a must
