Automation Solutions Consultant Omron Automation Americas is actively seeking a dynamic and strategic Automation Solutions Consultant. We are looking for an individual with a strong consultative selling mindset, adept at hunting for new business opportunities, and proficient in leveraging our cutting-edge Sysmac platform. The Automation Sales Consultant will be tasked with leading the drive to exceed an annual Territory Sales Target, working closely with the entire OAA Sales team. They will engage with customers on a daily basis and collaborate with Application Engineers and Product Marketing to ensure seamless execution and maximum impact. This role is instrumental in expanding our presence across industries and market segments. Responsibilities: Drive Revenue Growth / Market Share Acquisition/ Customer Engagement:
- Be a customer advocate committed to enhancing the customer experience by understanding their unique objectives, pressures and challenges.
- Create and deliver maximum value to key stakeholders by recommending Omron solutions and services to achieve customers' desired outcomes through professional consultative selling methodology.
- Drive revenue and market share growth for assigned territory- responsible for meeting or exceeding territory revenue goals.
- Meet or exceed annual KPIs aligned with overall business objectives.
- Ensure accountability of the overall goals through CRM management, regular performance management meetings, and customer focused objectives identified by leadership.
Automation Solution Selling:
- Identify and focus on customers that align with our global industry strategy.
- Employ a consultative sales approach to a comprehensive understanding of customers' pressures, objectives, and challenges to develop and promote innovative solutions.
- Act as a passionate advocate for the Omron integrated automation platform, Sysmac, emphasizing the value to customers.
- Self-driven passion for continuous learning to expand knowledge and skills in industry trends and advancements in both general industrial automation and Omron solutions.
Sales Collaboration:
- Engage with cross-functional teams within Omron and partners to develop, propose and deploy solutions that deliver customer centric value.
- Provide commercial leadership during the sales process to address customer needs.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, Sales, or a similar degree or Sufficient experience that contributes to the role will be considered in lieu of degree.
- Minimum of three (3) years of demonstrated application solutions sales experience with OEM and End User customers, or successful completion of Omron Sakura Program
- Strong leader, able to drive innovation and influence a team while aligning and executing the sales strategy. Possessing a high degree of self-awareness and can understand the impacts of decisions within the organization.
- Proactive in self-development, investing in personal growth by staying abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Good organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and work cross-functionally.
- Travel Requirements: Ability to travel up to 30% and spend 80% of time in the field, directly engaging with customers.
