Automation Technician - Doherty | The Employment Experts : Job Details

Looking to utilize your experience to help automate the food industry? Hiring an Automation Technician in Bloomfield, Nebraska, where you'll play a key role in troubleshooting, maintaining, and enhancing automated systems and electrical components. This full-time position offers competitive pay ranging from $28.00-$34.00 per hour, a $2,000 sign-on bonus, and an annual bonus of 3%.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and repair PLC systems, including identifying and addressing issues that impact circuitry.
• Work with VFD (Variable Frequency Drives) to change settings, replace drives, and perform necessary adjustments.
• Collaborate with teams to troubleshoot computer systems remotely, including coordinating with teams at other locations.
• Perform electrical maintenance and troubleshooting, including working with systems operating up to 480 volts.
• Support the development and implementation of updated technologies, including expanding infrastructure for new facilities.
• Communicate effectively with production and maintenance teams to ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
• Assist in maintaining and operating Allen-Bradley (Rockwell Automation) systems

What sets you apart:

• Two-year degree in Electrical or related field is preferred
• Experience in electrical maintenance (up to 480 volts).
• Familiarity with PLCs and the ability to troubleshoot issues (programming experience not required).
• Knowledge of VFDs and their operation.
• Strong communication skills to relay technical issues effectively.
• Willingness to develop and grow within the automation field.
