Engineering Technician (First and Second Shift) needed for a long-term contract opportunity with a good chance of going permanent with Yoh's client located in Gloucester, MA. They are the leading suppliers of ion implantation equipment used in the fabrication of semiconductor chips in the world. Pay rate per hour: $32 to $35 per hour depending on experience. plus additional 10 percent per hour for second shift First Shift:: 8 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday Second Shift: 3:00 pm to 11:30 am with an additional 10% differentia per hour for afternoon/evenings Will train 2 to 3 months on days from 7:30 am to 4 pm then go to 2nd shift. What You Need to Bring to The Table
- Auto mechanics, technicians who have worked on harness, back up camera, electromechanical systems, etc.
- Safety culture understanding troubleshooting on previous or current job and safety so not electrocuted
- Bench tech who has just been testing boards do not work/
- Engineering Technician one or two years of experience
- Ideally 2 to 4 years of experience
- Preventive maintenance experience
- Must be Mechanical not always sitting in front of a machine operating by software must be mechanically integrated electrically
- Electrical knowledge, computer signals, hands on experience
- Maintenance decontamination room to go to clean room
- Good work ethic and energy
- Ability to work from schematics, diagrams, verbal or written instructions, layouts or plans performing testing and troubleshooting.
- Maintain logbook exemplary writing skills.
- Knowledge of Ion Implanters and RF plasma systems is a plus

What You Will Be Doing: Successful candidate will perform machine testing and maintenance on Ion Implanters and RF Plasma Systems. Candidate must take direction from management staff (Physicists and Engineers) and be able to independently provide expertise to accomplish assigned tasks. Knowledge of Ion implanters and RF plasma systems is desirable. Must have the ability to communicate effectively and interact with a diverse project team to collect, compile, maintain and interpret data and test results accurately. Key Responsibilities
- Assist engineers and scientists as they create, modify, and test Ion implanters and RF plasma systems. Inspect products and processes for flaws and identify and communicate areas for improvement. Conduct tests and collect data.
- Work with teams (Manufacturing, Quality, Reliability, Design, etc.) to solve problems arising from product anomalies, engineering evaluations, and new product development.
- Ability to work from schematics, diagrams, written or verbal instruction, layouts or plans to perform testing and troubleshooting.
- Maintain logbooks and test procedure documentation utilizing good writing skills.
- Problem solver who can apply scientific methods efficiently to generate results.
- Ability to identify specification issues with an eye for technical accuracy and thoroughness.
- Observe all safety standards. Actively strive to work safely to prevent accidents and injuries.
