Automotive Accounting Clerk

Job Summary
The Automotive Accounting Clerk duties include posting new and used vehicle purchases to accounting, posting loaner fees and loaner incentives, and processing dealer trade and customer equity payments.
Core Responsibilities
- Posting vehicle purchases for: new, used, dealer trades, loaners and in house transfers.
- Daily office receipt and issuing vehicle purchase payments, including equity to customers and vehicle loan payoffs.
- Posting vehicle holdback receivables, weekly dealer payments, and loaner fees and incentives
- Auditing information to ensure accurate and compliant general ledger schedules.
- Liaison between dealer new and used car manager, used buying team, and administrative office.
- Cross training in floorplan loan advances and floorplan loan payoffs
- Any other additional duties assigned by management.
Job Requirements
- Strong analytical skills and a sense of urgency
- Previous automotive accounting experience preferred, but not necessary.
- Team player, focused on efficiency and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills via email/phone
- Good organization skills with attention to detail
- Critical thinker and effective time manager
- Experience with Microsoft Office/Excel
