Responsibilities
  • Report directly to Group Corporate Controller
  • Responsible for closing the monthly financial statement with the help from shared services team.
  • Ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements
  • Assume primary day-to-day and overall responsibility for planning, implementing, managing, and controlling all dealership accounting and finance related activities
  • Provide technical accounting expertise and hands-on support to dealership staff
  • Manage 2 accountants
  • Collaborate with the other Controllers/Accounting Managers to ensure consistency and alignment across the organization
  • Responsible for treasury functions of the dealership
  • Assist with store audits and reporting.
  • Coordination with tax accountant on annual tax returns
  • Assist with preparation of the company's annual operating and capital budget.
  • Complete special projects and other duties as assigned by management.
Skills/Requirements
  • Previous Automotive experience needed.
  • Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in finance or accounting, licensed CPA preferred but not necessary.
  • 5+ years of total experience in accounting
  • Proven supervisory skills with at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Comfortable with operating multiple application systems
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Exceptional communication skills and high emotional intelligence
  • Must be able to pass pre-hire screening that includes a background check, MVR and drug screening.
