OVERVIEW OF COMPANY AND POSITIONFamily owned and operated for over 40 years, Bob Ruth Ford, Inc. is South Central Pennsylvania's fastest growing dealership. The Finance Manager is responsible for producing revenue for the dealership by selling finance and insurance programs and other products to customers purchasing new or used vehicles. JOB REQUIREMENTS (REQUIRED)
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- A valid Pennsylvania Driver's License
- State Board of Vehicle Manufacturers, Dealers, and Salespersons Licensure to sell automobiles (or qualifications necessary to secure licensure upon hire)
- 2 or more years of prior automotive sales and/or finance experience
- A basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, computer software, and internet-based financing applications
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communications ability, including demonstrated negotiation and presentation skills and a professional demeanor
- Ability to work irregular hours, which may include evenings, bell-to-bell hours, and/or Saturdays
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
JOB REQUIREMENTS (PREFERRED)
- Prior Ford automotive, warranty, feature, trade-in, and related sales experience
- An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in finance or a related field
JOB DUTIESThis position is responsible for working with customers, lending institutions, Ford corporate contacts, Sales Managers and Sales Consultants, and dealership office personnel to finalize new and used vehicle sales in a timely, efficient, ethical and compliant manner. Finance and Insurance (F & I) Managers are challenged to satisfy customers while generating revenue by selling financing programs, warranties and related coverages, and aftermarket items. Overall, this typically involves:
- Structuring deals to which provide the best solution for customers with credit or other issues
- Communicating effectively with customers to fully explain all aspects of F & I, warranties and related coverages, and aftermarket opportunities
- Adhering to state and federal laws and regulations relating to F & I
- Maximizing insurance product penetration and profit
- Maintaining strong working relationships with Ford and finance sources
- Collaborating with Sales personnel from an F & I perspective
- Maintaining various reports and records as directed by the Finance Director or General Manager
- Maintaining adequate supplies of contracts, paperwork, etc.
- Communicating concerns, trends and opportunities to the Finance Director
