Our employees love the work they do each day because they see the difference they're making in people's lives!A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN AUTOMOTIVE MECHANIC:As an Automotive Mechanic, you will coordinate all maintenance of CLC vehicles, such as oil changes, tire repairs/replacement, and drivetrain repair, etc. The automotive mechanic will assist the Director with negotiating appropriate contracts for subcontract work and or contract work that are necessary to meet the operational needs of the CLC fleet and schedule monthly inspections of CLC vehicles. Also, will coordinate during severe weather-related issues that puts consumer and agency staff at risk. The automotive mechanic oversees all inspection, repair, and routine maintenance of CLC vehicles and any other assigned duties.You find it very rewarding to help people with disabilities lead self-fulfilling lives!QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 18 years of age
- Ability to pass a background check upon hire
- Valid driver's license
- Associate's degree preferred with one (1) year experience in automotive mechanics or a High School Diploma with five (5) years' experience in specialized training from a trade school
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, and climb
- Have the ability to work in changing environments
