Responsibilities:
- Obtaincustomer and vehicle information
- Clearlyreport all vehicle symptoms as described by the customer
- Determine andrecommend needed maintenance based on age, mileage, and vehicle history
- Prepare acomplete and accurate estimate of labor and parts costs.
- Monitor theprogress of customer vehicles throughout the day and communicate withcustomers about vehicle status via email, phone, and text.
- Verify thatthe final invoice reconciles with the work performed on the repair order.
- Explain allcompleted work and charges to customers.
- Handle minorcustomer concerns and complaints.
- Keep theService Manager informed of all problems and potential problems.
- Operate aPoint of Sale (POS) system to record customer transactions.Example, Mitchell 1, bolt-on, excel spreadsheet.
- Perform othertasks or responsibilities as assigned.
- Occasionallyshuttle vehicles or clients in company vehicles.
- Strongcomputer skills
- Strong written,verbal, and listening skills.
- Mustdemonstrate consistency, accuracy, and follow-through.
- Strong cashhandling skills, including the use of POS systems.
- Excellent organizationaland problem-solving skills

- Ability tohandle difficult customer situations.
- Familiaritywith the MS Office suite of tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

Requirements:
- Prior experience in automotive service writingis a must.
- Working knowledge of basic car functions, characteristics, and operations
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenanceinstructions, and procedural manuals
- Basic MS Office knowledge, computer software, internet proficiency, andgeneral mathematical skills.
- Valid Maryland driver's license required
- High school diploma or equivalent required
