​ We are currently seeking a motivated and exper ienced Service Advisor to join our team in the Glen Burnie, MD area Earn from $52k to $83.2k Annually Prior Experience In Automotive Service Writing Is A Must ​ Benefits: Medical, Dental Paid Holidays Paid Vacation 401K Match Financial Planning Responsibilities: Obtain customer and vehicle information Clearly report all vehicle symptoms as described by the customer Determine and recommend needed maintenance based on age, mileage, and vehicle history Prepare a complete and accurate estimate of labor and parts costs. Monitor the progress of customer vehicles throughout the day and communicate with customers about vehicle status via email, phone, and text. Verify that the final invoice reconciles with the work performed on the repair order. Explain all completed work and charges to customers. Handle minor customer concerns and complaints. Keep the Service Manager informed of all problems and potential problems. Operate a Point of Sale (POS) system to record customer transactions. Example, Mitchell 1, bolt-on, excel spreadsheet. Perform other tasks or responsibilities as assigned. Occasionally shuttle vehicles or clients in company vehicles. Strong computer skills Strong written, verbal, and listening skills. Must demonstrate consistency, accuracy, and follow-through. Strong cash handling skills, including the use of POS systems. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills Ability to multi-task Ability to handle difficult customer situations. Familiarity with the MS Office suite of tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. EXPERIENCE with MITCHEL 1, Excel, Outlook, Requirements: Prior experience in automotive service writing is a must. Working knowledge of basic car functions, characteristics, and operations Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals Basic MS Office knowledge, computer software, internet proficiency, and general mathematical skills .
