Responsibilities:
  • Ability to operate the department at a profit according to dealership guidelines
  • Forecast goals and objectives and strives to meet them
  • Manage, train and motivate staff, create work schedules
  • Manage Service Technicians' productivity
  • Provides technical assistance to employees as needed
  • Oversees employee training and development
  • Communicates clearly with customers, explains vehicle maintenance services as well as auto repair, develops estimates and quotes
  • Focuses on customer satisfaction to generate repeat customers
  • Provides professional and tactful resolutions of customer concerns
  • Ensures a safe working environment
  • Ensures that equipment is properly maintained and repaired
  • Establish communication and maintain a good working relationship with other departments
  • Maintain a professional appearance
  • Comply with federal, state and local regulations
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • At least 3 years' experience in service management
  • Technical automotive knowledge
  • Management experience and skills
  • Must have excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Must have supervisory experience and good leadership skills
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
  • High ethical standards
  • Ability to multitask and highly organized
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
