Position Overview : As the Automotive Service Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the service department, ensuring customer satisfaction, team performance, and operational efficiency. You will lead and mentor a team of service professionals, optimize workflows, and maintain the high standards our customers expect. Key Responsibilities : Manage Daily Operations: Oversee service department scheduling, staffing, and workflow optimization to ensure efficient and profitable operations. Team Leadership: Hire, train, and supervise service department personnel, fostering a positive, productive, and professional work environment. Customer Service Excellence: Address customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and ensure high-quality service delivery. Quality & Safety Standards: Implement and enforce company policies and procedures to maintain safety, quality, and service standards. Promote Services & Drive Sales: Collaborate with sales to promote service offerings and maximize customer retention. Inventory & Parts Management: Oversee inventory management, parts ordering, and cost-effectiveness. Stay Updated on Industry Trends: Monitor industry trends and technological advancements, recommending service operation improvements. Financial Oversight: Prepare and analyze departmental reports, budgets, and forecasts for management review. Qualifications : Experience: Minimum of 5-10 years in automotive service management with a proven track record of success. Automotive Knowledge: Strong understanding of automotive systems, diagnostics, and repair techniques. Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and inspire a team of service professionals. Education: Bachelor's degree in Automotive Technology, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. (Preferred) Smog Cerification. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Technical Proficiency: Strong computer skills, including experience with automotive service management software.
