Automotive Service TechnicianQualifications

Minimum of 5 years' experience in a dealership or automotive schoolingAble to read, interpret and document work performed and recommendations on future repairsKnowledge of vehicle electronic components, theory, systems, and testing tools and procedures fordiagnosing and repairingKnowledge of procedures/regulations including handling hazardous material, tools & equipment toensure safety of themselves, customers and coworkersNYS Motor Vehicle Inspection License (Required)ASE Certification (Preferred)

Responsibilities

Receive work assignments from Service AdvisorsCommunicate with Service Advisors to obtain work approvalsTest drive vehicle if necessary to verify customer issues and ensure quality repairExamine vehicle and advise Service Advisors of additional work if needed
