Position Summary

The Logistics Strategic Sourcing primary role is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and when required, expanding Metrea's global shipping network and inventory management processes in order to achieve effective and efficient support to enterprise and site inventory requirements. Due to the global nature of Metrea operating sites, this position requires significant expertise in compliance with ITAR, EAR, and other regulatory regimes which govern movement of good across international boundaries.

This position also requires monitoring and, when required, intervention in the movement of aviation parts, ground support equipment, tools, and commercial products to enterprise warehouses and local operating sites in order to ensure timely delivery of items between locations.

Role and Responsibilities

* Develop and maintain a network of logistics providers and other partners to support domestic movement and international import/export operations.

* Develop and optimize global supply chain movement, including transportation and distribution networks with focus on effectiveness in meeting movement requirements, compliance with global trade regulations, and cost-efficiency.

* Identify opportunities to improve the timeliness and cost-effectiveness of existing trade lanes between enterprise warehouses and forward operating base stations.

* Monitor and report on import/export activities, including shipment status and delivery performance.

* Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including inventory requirements and procurement functions; Global Trade Compliance (GTC) functions, and SCM leadership to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.

* In support of the Head of Global Logistics, manages import and export documentation, including customs declarations, bills of lading, and other shipping documents.

* Support compliance with domestic and international customs requirements through a working knowledge of the CBP ACE system.

* Manage relationships with customs officials and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with import/export regulations.

* Support Global Inventory Management shipping and corporate Global Trade Compliance departments in development of accurate and timely commercial invoices.

* Support Head of Global Logistics in negotiating freight rates and contracts with carriers, freight forwarders, and other logistics providers.

* Adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities efficiently

* Excel at resolving complex challenges with a strategic and thoughtful approach.

Education:

* Associate's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or similar aviation-related field

Experience:

* 5+ years of logistics and supply chain management

* 3 years of experience in aviation logistics, including frequent movements across international boundaries subject to ITAR, EAR, and customs regulatory regimes

Computer Skills:

* Microsoft Office Suite

* Expert level in Microsoft Excel

Preferred Education, Experience and Certificates

* Education: Bachelor's Degree

* Experience with Veryon or similar platform

* Experience with Microsoft Dynamics D365

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

* Must be able to accomplish any and all duties with little or no assistance

* Must have good command of the English language; oral and written

* Must have a valid driver's license

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position with typical working hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Hours and work shifts may change in accordance with department and business needs. Exempt Employees must have the ability to be on-call and available, as business needs require. Non-Exempt employees may be required to work over 40 hours per week with approval from the department manager.

Travel

Travel requirements are between 25 - 35%.

Hybrid, with primary on-site locations at Bethany, OK or Temecula, CA
