Position Overview

Seeking a skilled Avionics Technician to perform installations, modifications, testing, and troubleshooting of avionics systems on SH-60 helicopters, ensuring work meets FAA, OEM, and customer standards.

Responsibilities

• Install and integrate avionics systems (navigation, communication, mission-specific equipment).
• Perform system modifications, updates, and upgrades.
• Conduct functional testing of systems for proper performance.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues using schematics and test tools.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Collaborate with team members to resolve technical challenges.
• Adhere to safety protocols during all operations.

Requirements.

• Knowledge of avionics systems, wiring, and schematics.
• Proficiency with test equipment; FAA A&P or FCC GROL certification is a plus.
• Ability to obtain security clearance and pass DOT drug tests/background checks.
• Valid US driver's license and eligibility to work in the US.

Physical Requirements

• Work near flight lines and in uncontrolled climates.
• Lift/move up to 50 lbs and wear personal protective equipment as required.
• Handle hazardous materials per regulations.

Compensation

• $33–$36 hourly.
• Split per diem for qualifying candidates (part taxed, part untaxed).

Schedule

• Monday–Friday.
• Two shifts available (5:30 AM or 2:30 PM start).
