Key Responsibilities:
- Negotiate and secure industry-leading pricing, contract terms, and conditions.
- Analyze complex business issues and devise effective, broad solutions.
- Manage department performance, ensuring successful outcomes.
- Lead, train, and motivate the strategic sourcing team.
- Foster collaboration with account management, finance, sales, and other internal groups.
- Interact with client board members and engage senior executives in strategic discussions.
- Support sales and account management efforts, driving toward financial and performance goals.
- Innovate and develop new client solutions to enhance value.
- Ensure team adherence to internal policies and procedures while meeting contract goals.
- Address product or service issues from members and vendors.
- Increase contracted volume of minority businesses and sustainable products.
- Provide leadership for complex solicitations and special projects, demonstrating sound judgment on business and legal terms.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or engineering.
- 10+ years of relevant experience, including directing a strategic sourcing team and negotiating contracts.
- Knowledge of healthcare facility operations, design, and maintenance.
- Experience working with healthcare managers, engineers, and architects is a plus.
- Understanding of sustainability solutions (e.g., emissions, water, waste reduction).
- Familiarity with energy commodity trading and utility services.
- Expertise in contract financial analysis and risk management.
- Experience with strategic sourcing and regulatory compliance.
- Registered professional licensed engineer is desirable.
