Primary Job Responsibilities:
* Remain awake for the entire shift and to provide support to individuals in the house as needed.
* Complete overnight checklists and reports as outlined by each individual's service plan and/or behavior plan.
* Work as a member of a team to maintain a clean, safe, positive living environment for each individual who lives at the residence including completing laundry and cleaning assignments
* Assist in the development and implementation of each individual's residential ISP/IEP and daily activity schedule.
* Implement positive behavior supports and individual behavior support plans for individuals who live in the home.
* Assist in record keeping and report writing, as assigned.
* Provide supervision of all individuals while under his/her care.
* Administer and record individuals' medications, in compliance with MAP.
* Able to transport individuals to various locations.
* Provide direct supervision and care to individuals, including 1:1 responsibilities at all times and locations.
* Participate in any meetings pertaining to assigned individuals or program planning, as directed.
* Engage in de-escalation of individuals.
* Able to attend training as required.
* Perform other related duties as assigned.
Essential Job Functions:
* Regular attendance at work is an essential function of the job including weekends, holidays and inclement weather situations.
* Demonstrated evidence of mature judgment, good interpersonal skills, a desire to enrich individuals' lives and a willingness to learn from skilled professionals.
* Physical and mental capacity to work in stressful situations and de-escalate individuals who have limited cognition and complex needs
* Proficiency in written and spoken English is an essential function of the job.
* Pass Guild Driving test to access Guild vehicles for transportations of individuals.
* The ability to implement crisis intervention techniques as necessary, including Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (via certification through CPI).
* The ability to assist individuals in evacuation from the residence
Qualifications
Qualifications:
* A minimum of an Associate's Degree is preferred; prior experience in lieu of a degree will be considered
* A valid driver's license
* Must meet Massachusetts Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) background check requirements.
* MAP (Medication Administration Program) certification or the ability to obtain MAP certification within first 90 days of employment
