Azure Security Engineer - Data Protection/100% Remote

Optomi, in partnership with an enterprise organization is looking for an Azure Security Engineer to join their Data Protection team. This person will have a focus on Microsoft tools and doing a full assessment of the cloud security environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assessing current and future state of cloud security environment
• Implementing security controls
• Advising and reporting on how to protect sensitive customer and internal data in a highly regulated environment
• Design and implement data security solutions in Azure
• Monitor and respond to data security incidents and events, and conduct root cause analysis and remediation efforts
• Establish and document repeatable processes that ensure proper use of the encryption, key management, data masking, and data labeling technologies in Azure
• Provide security training and guidance to cloud users and stakeholders for data protection

• Azure cloud security experience
• Experience implementing solutions to protect certain data and information in a large environment
• Experience working with Microsoft Information Protection, Data Protection, and Microsoft Identity and Access Management
• Experience performing assessments and creating reports and documentation on the data protection of environment
• Experience with Microsoft Azure security services and tools, such as Azure Security Center, Azure Sentinel, Azure Key Vault, Azure Active Directory
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and various business units in the organization
