Location: Wildflour Restaurant – 200 Airport Blvd, Ste. 1, South San Francisco
Job Type: Part-time: 30-40 hours per week. Full-time possible.
Reports to: Head Pastry Chef

Job Summary:
Wildflour seeks a dedicated and enthusiastic Baker to join the team. The ideal candidate will support the Pastry Chef in the preparation and presentation of high-quality breads, pastries and crackers. This role requires a passion for baking, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of a variety of pastries, breads and crackers for in-house sales and catering events
- Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all equipment and utensils are sanitized
- Help with the decoration and presentation of finished products
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Assist in monitoring inventory management
- Participate in menu development and recipe testing
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations
- Support the Pastry Chef in training new staff members
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years experience in a commercial bakery or kitchen required.
- Basic knowledge of baking techniques and pastry arts.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for creativity in food presentation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, holidays and weekends as needed
- Up-to-date Food Handler Certification
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Capability to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs)
- Manual dexterity for precise tasks
Wage/Benefits:
- $22-$25/hour, depending on experience + shared tips
