L'Appartement 4f is a French bakery opening a new location in West Village. We specialize in croissants, sourdough bread, and baguettes. This position is for an early morning baker that has experience with bread baking, especially baguettes.
Responsibilities & Expectations:
- Mixing, scaling, and shaping boules and baguette
- Proofing croissants
- Loading oven and baking off bread and pastries
- Maintain a clean and safe space in accordance with operations and sanitation guidelines.
- Willing to learn and adapt to work in a small kitchen
- Foster a positive work environment
Skills & Requirements:
- 2-3 years professional experience in bread, pastries or related fields, required.
- Formal education in bread or pastry, preferred but not required.
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
- Ability to work in a team or independently.
- Ability to work holidays and weekends.
- Ability to work on your feet for a full shift and lift 50+ lbs during the shift.
- Must be 18 years of age or older and authorized to work in the US.
Shifts Needed:
- The position opening is full time (40 hours per week).
- Shift hours: 4am-12pm (subject to change) 5 times a week, 2 days off in a row
- Anticipated Start Date: November 2024
