On-the-job training provided for the proper use of computers, printing bar coded tags, identifying different coatings, and following proper packaging requirements. Perform various other duties as assigned. Responsible for own safety and the safety of others in the area.This is a 12 hour night shift position following a 5-2-2-5 schedule.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Constant standing.
  • Frequent sitting, walking, and foot use
  • Occasional below waist level work, push/pull, reaching over 15 away from the body, reaching above shoulder, use of fine motor skills, forceful motion, and lifting up to 10 lbs.
  • Minimal climbing, balancing, carrying, and lifting up to 100 lbs.
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation, as provided in detail in the Job Analysis Database
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent (GEDWorks program eligible).
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Proficient in basic math skills.
  • Basic communication skills.
  • Ability to follow and give instructions.
  • Basic problem solving skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Forklift and/or overhead crane experience.
  • Manufacturing experience.
  • Safety awareness training.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Enter and monitor order data into the computer.
  • Accurately identify coils by printing and applying tags throughout the process.
  • Operate coil compactor and other coil handling equipment.
  • Operate hydraulic and pneumatic hand tools.
  • Operate a forklift.
  • Work as a team to support internal customer requests.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as instructed by the supervisor.
  • Follow and comply with all safety and work rules.
  • Ensure quality of customer packaging requirements.
  • Follow Environmental, Quality and Safety Management System procedures and requirements.
  • Ability to meet the essential job requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation, as outlined in the job description.
