JOB SUMMARY: The Banquet Houseperson is responsible for banquet room set up and equipment used in set up. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Maintains equipment and parts of equipment to meet business demands.
- Maintain and operate A.V. equipment.
- Work well with sales and clients to set up adequate banquet accommodations. Is actively involved in completion of daily tasks.
- Acts immediately on guest request to ensure corrections are made to guest specifications.
- Keeps area clean and maintained. Reports any repair needs immediately.
- Acts as role model for other employees and always presents oneself as a credit to Harrah's, encouraging others to do the same.
- Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school graduate or GED is required.
- Must read, write, and speak English.
- Able to lift and carry fifty pounds minimum. Good customer service, communication, team building, and problem solving skills. Mechanical skills.
- Ability to handle stressful situations and perform multiple tasks at once.
